me

Living tears shimmer and
Egos shatter while fingers scramble,
failing to see the failure in your eyes,1
and the monopoly of me has started.

To the Queen of my hearts:
Life has been found upside-down.
The fluid rushes to my brain,
and you haven't changed

Except for love, lack there of
and clever poker-faces.
I draw my new cards:
You still hold them all.

Cutting the deck I walk on,
dropping ante with a smile;
I'd like my hand held,
but only when you'd know

how much this gamble means.
What implication it seems
has my life tongue-tied
in your dealing obsessions.

And I lack the proper expression
to atone a lover's definition
of how amazingly luring
you actually are.
