me

This love,
with its whirlwind pacing
Our hearts dancing, racing
Twisting in so many directions.

This love,
effortlessly calms gale force
We melt together
As ingredients
In a dessert
Of tooth-aching decadence.

This love,
Whenever we touch
Part of your soul
Absorbs into me --
I want to be
the sponge that never fills,
A vessel whose expanse
Is bottomless.

This love,
Blossoms like a dew-kissed rose-
Each time you whisper my name,
The memories pleasantly remind me
Just why I am so fond
Of this love.
