Blenderites, one and all.

Your writing inspires me, you amazes me, and enthralls me. This little Australian has been observing the Blender for a while now, soaking up the beauty of the emotional rawness and honesty you all weave into your poetry and prose. I'm seriously blown away again and again!

I've also enjoyed being a fly on the blender-board (sounds kinda unhygenic!) as you all express your love and care for each other. It's a very special community who can encourage and comfort and share the way you all do.

Love Beth - the little South Aussie one!

P.S. Misti - where can I find the first scene of 'Candy before bedtime'? I want to be able to read it all in order. =)
What a sweet pea ;)

Gala- extra fairy dust is in order to ward off some nightmares *blah* your benediction DOES have effect!!!
Or maybe I am superstitious.

Misti- My horoscope for yesterday mentioned "not taking one's intuition lightly because it has been infallible in the past" How much did I flip out? Fitting Calvin for one of those electrocutional dog collars
*hehe*

Take care folks-
Beth,
I've heard that Texans and Aussies have a lot in common. The main thing is the unapologetic wildness! And the love for good beer! Actually, I guess good beer appreciation is pretty much universal. But I hear that in England they drink it warm. ANYWAY, you'll find scene one of "CBB" at the Heart on Sleeve Corner of the January Digest. Could you do me a HUGE favor and e-mail me a list of Aussie slang terms? I'm thinking of writing an Aussie dude into the script. When I was in Vegas in '95 I was hangin' out in the Treasure Island casino and this Aussie guy started hittin' on me. When I talked to my friend later on, she said the same guy had been hitting on her! It was hilarious! So I thought I'd create a similar situation for Becca. I'd appreciate it, chica!
Megs,
No collar. I've got some better advice (not remotely astrology related) but I'll have to send it to ya in an e-mail. I've been advised to start being more mysterious and classy, like Grace Kelly. Ha!!!
I LOVE Australian accents. English accents. ANYONES accents besides mine. LOL.

Misti- Got your letter and read it and well...good sound advice. I will write more later but I am sneaking in these few minutes and running from a guy who figured out my AOL screen name through my personal. DAMN Internet spies...
Welcome Beth!

Australian accents ARE great. We have no accents where I live... Not fair!

Thanks Megs... (Btw, good things can come from Net personals. Yes! I got into them totally for fun, just to see what would happen--and was very surprised.)

Oh--and burning notebooks is BAD. I know 'cause I did it my last year in high school--for reasons too silly to even discuss now...

Later, all!

You guys!!!! god... tooooo funny 'I have no accent' - LOL and neither do I when I am at home... but ask Kev, Guppy, Unit305 or Shady what I sound like and they'd say 'hell yes - accent girl'.

I was flying from Chicago to Columbus, Ohio last year and had to ask the flight attendant 8 times for APPLE juice... I thought she was taking the piss outta me.... finally I said - 'Any kind of juice will be fine' and she replied with "would apple be ok?" arrrrrrghhhhh!!

and the New Zealand accent is way nicer than the Australian one... <grin>

Megs - a fun one to do is at http://www.thespark.com -- do the spark match test and it 'matches' you up with people... but both men and woman so its an interesting way to meet people its by no means serious.

My sorta man and I both did it about a month ago and had a competition to see who'd get the most replies without contacting anyone ourselves. It gives you matches in your local area as well as international, and it also gives you your own comments board so people can contact you without giving out your email address...

I had to take my name off the list after receiving 45 responses in 4 days (including one I am still in contact with, he sent me a courier parcel full of photos!!) -- the sorta man got 2, one of them was me.... <grin>
