Had a VERY odd evening last night. Let a therapist analyze THIS!!! My "former best friend" (as high school labels these things) and my ex-boyfriend...who are now dating (that is why she is former) came up here and even though we hadn't spoken since a fateful Steve Miller Band concert in August (picture too much alcohol, hurling insults, and pulling of hair) we all ran into each other down town and ended up going out. Drank bunches- cause it makes the kind of thing easier. They ended up staying here (at Calvin's)
Its just funny when your past slaps you in the face full force. It was nice to accept it this time and move on...but still very weird.

hey Megs, I just had to comment on your story about running into your former friend last night. I have been through the EXACT same experience. Had a confrontation about 2 years ago, and just this year started talking again. It's very weird, but i think I know why it happens. Ive learned that you just realize that things must happen for a reason, and because you were friends with her before, you have history and things in commin, so it's easy to put the past and the betrayal behind you and get along. I mean I don't know if I will ever fully forgive my former friend for what she did to me, but I'm mature enough to just be friendly and go on with my life. It almost feels like a weight off your shoulder doesn't it. Anyway, i understand how you feel. And I also read a quote somewhere that says~~~~"When another girl steals your guy, there is no better revenge than to let her keep him."

Well Megs, you are definitely not alone. I do know exactly what you mean. This girl was my best friend in the world, and when trust is broken from your best friend AND your boyfriend, it definitely hurts, but it also makes for good writing!! So I also look at it like that!! I guess I can say the revenge for me was that i am now friends with all of his old friends since they don't like "HER".!! It's not as good of revenge as yours, but hopefully i will find someone hat will make me very happy, but I am still young. I'm younger than you are actually. I am 17 and still in high school. Where do you go to college, and what are you studying?
By the way, I like all the recent submissions by everyone, but they are making me jealous because im having writers block,oh well, I'm sure I'll get something when I least expect it, the words will justcome to me!! Haha

High school is a crazy place. I miss some things...I even realized how much I missed my "best friend" when I was out last night...we had one of those drunken sloppy confessions where you sob "I was wronnnnnnnng." and stuff. *giggles*
