Hey Mojave,

Have you ever met, heard of, or encountered an "uncomplicated" Goddess...? Just musing....
So close we were, yet so far away
We meet once again...
Yet nothing seems to ever change
We'll always remain far friends...
The times we had, have slipped between
the memories we've left behind...
The time we said "I love you"
Have been fading for sometime...
Your lips I felt so close to mine
Your love I knew as lies...
Your hands I held, are so far from now
and my faith so pushed aside...
Our days are found, but lost again
As we silently still feel...
The longing of me holding you
Makes wanting you surreal...
My feelings dim as I realize
There's nothing I can do...
My thoughts I had, I had alone
All I wanted was just you...
Now that I have realized
We now live two seperate lives
I brought you here, just one last time
To say I love you and "Goodbye"

Even without explanation...I really really liked "First and Shining". Wonderful picture there...especially the last couple of lines...two thumbs up Misti :)
Email me and tell me some tales of Misti- I have ZERO time for ICQ or much correspondence these days but I am waiting to see how accurate my Pisces intuition can be ;)

Can I just say right here that March is only half over and I do NOT envy Kirk the job of narrowing things down to a few front page picks...
I was thinking today while browsing (though I don't know what others would think of this- esp. Kirk) that it would be neat to set up a sort of vote sytem or something...like the Blender's choice...where visitors to the site could vote on one piece to be featured on the front page...does that make sense?
Or not...just Megs Musings.
I've got to run to Decatur to talk to an attorney. When I get off work I'll e-mail ya! Glad you like *First & Shining*! I think that's a good idea, especially so close to Academy Awards time. Later, chica!

p.s.- I have never heard of an uncomplicated goddess, not even mythically... I think that would be an oxymoron...

In mythology, goddesses had clearly defined roles. Themis was the goddess of justice. Mnemosyne was the goddess of memory. Athena was the goddess of wisdom. Perhaps the "complicated goddess" in Mojave's poem is a woman whose role in his life isn't clearly defined.
...And not every woman is complex. I know quite a few women who have a noted lack of duplicity to their nature. So "complicated goddess" sounds fine to me.

Agreed. Complicated goddesses abound. And as a philosophical point, a lack of duplicity does not naturally lead to a lack of complexity. The character of that complexity is what makes each woman so exotic, so fascinating... At least it has been so for every woman I have ever known... Been married for nearly 17 years now, and I STILL haven't even figured HER out (not completely)...
Kev- Heck yes I want email you dork *giggles*
What do I have to do to win the privelage...I mean I
I let you bounce ideas off me and everything.
You must be an ICQ night owl or something...so anyways...email me :)

Oh and please don't say anything containing the word "philosophy" :) Having a TEENSY bit of trouble in that class.

Dee- How many more days in the countdown to "the visit". I miss your ICQ's too (and pics of my fave little boy)
Give him a BIG kiss from his WV Mumma.

And as for complicated goddesses and complicated women and such...I just don't think a woman is half as much fun if she isn't a wee bit complicated. Gives you that much more to look forward to in the pursuit.

Or maybe that isn't even relevent...
Just throwing the two cents of one of the MOST complicated women (not sure about goddess?)
all of this talk about complicated or uncomplicated goddesses is killing me...all women are goddesses in one way or another, depending on whose looking ...and complicated is what makes us so much fun...

hmm...or i could just be having a hell day...oops
