wow -- I didn't think I'd make front cover this month -- I submitted 2 paintings and poems of my own, 2 paintings with other peoples poems and one just plain poem... I can't beleive I got two paintings and a poem on the front cover...

Kirk you've stunned me.... also because I loved Venus amongst the daffodils and no one really commented about it and I'd thought it wasn't good... what a nice shock!

Gala -- great ramble....Kirk travel well.... Madi -- I loved 'dancing' and gup... just love you.
Terry, and Deevaa and Gup, OH MY!

Hats off to the front page picks---I think Dee has broken some sort of Blender record as all round talented soul. Her paintings are only the usual exquisite...and her prose continues to grow.

Thrilled with Gup's placing, but for anyone who like me, adored last month's subs, the Garden has picked up pieces by Devin, Gup, and Nadia, and we are waiting for selections from it doesn't matter, B.K. and Kev...

Madison girl----you always do it with such style...(sigh) can I be you when I grow up? And Jenna, you just keep rolling.....wow! Terry---loved the tone of both picks...they truly contrast your ability.

And my thanks to Kirk for running The Guide----I've been itching to write that piece for years, and he gave me a reason. And I am not either amazing, but thanks Kahuna. Have a wonderful trip...I'm in the market for some lederhosen...

Love
To All Front Page Writers and Artists:

Congratulations You All: You know I come here every day, holding my breath, wondering who's going to make me think, feel or see. The adventure is awesome and I look forward to more from each and every one of you. You all inspire this new writer to run harder, jump faster, and use that third eye to see with. Thank you all so much!

And Kirk: You know, I just found this place not even a month ago. I have to say Thanks, for giving me a place to feel as free as a bird. You are truly a Wizard Blender here.
Gala - Nice piece on weddings! My cousin's wedding (wasn't that a film?) is in a few weeks and I'd love to send her your article but I fear its already too late for her...

Kirk - I hope you enjoy your trip to Germany (I'll actually be there next week as well). I'm working on a piece that tells the story of how 'Cafe at Night' brought me to the Blender in the first place. One of those weird twists of fate I would call coincidence, if I believed in that.
Cheers - Nadia

Congratulations to everyone on great lines for the last two months ... I am just now catching up and getting a chance to read the submissions and the Digests ... mega-talent going on here at Blender.

"It doesn't matter" ... friend, I see you have kept everyone entertained while I have been gone ... I told you I enjoyed your words ... now you see I wasn't so daft in telling you I did. White knights are necessary in this world when everyone else lets us down ... you keep shining that armor and penning the gallant and romantic lines.

I have been blessed in life. Unfortunately, I spent most of March in ICCU ... too much hospital time from time to time, but I have found in adversity, the most wonderful part of a relationship ... knowing for certain that someone truly cares, loves me as I am. I have written little to post, and reworked few old poems lately ... but for him ... well, he knows there are a world of words on my heart that belong in loving combination just to him.

I care to check-in and see how all and each of you are doing in life from the subs and comments. This has been a caring and sharing community that encourages more than the majority or writers I have witnessed over the years. I take pride in telling others about it, and how a new writer will be honestly accepted here. Blender has an open door, caring souls, and a comfortable spot for each who enter, a site waiting faithfully for all those who care to share .... thanks to all of you for being part of that ...... Rennie

Okay......I cheated a little in the guide....there was a THIRD reason for the best man, which made me look long and hard at my husband's friend David. "Tradition" held in many cultures that while a bride was expected to be "in tact", a wife was not. So the next day, couples were expected to prove not only the girl's virtue, but the grooms....er....ability? Meaning if the groom was nervous, drunk or unable for some reason...the best man was expected to...er.....fill in? Otherwise, the groom risked losing his bride, and her bride price as forfeit....

And you thought all they were supposed to do was make a toast!
Congrats to all the front page picks!
Also, thanks to everyone. When I got back from vacation I read like 320989320813 at once and they all blurred together in a drunken buzz. A good one.

Michael~ Welcome back my friend...'Horses Dream' has this strange stream-of-conscious feel to it that was very much like listening in on your thoughts. I have only felt that conveyed with words that way rarely.
