Today is Gala's birthday -- as far as I know she is celebrating in a cabin somewhere with her family .... I'm sure she'll be sorry she missed todays fun, but credit is due to her for the bump idea to start with!

walking deep in the forest
trying to lose my way
i came upon a small village
quite madd in its way
reigned over by a queen
Queen Gala by name
all these villagers spoke ....music?
and practised .....bump?
a very lovely place
were everyone chose to wear
their heart in the open
not hidden as everywhere else
i stopped for a time
to find something to eat, drink
before fleeing on my way
and found to my delight
i was trapped here by me
then more amazing yet
was the music i learned to speak
once i tried to crawl away
till Queen Gala came
with villagers to fore
and the songs she spoke
quite melted my day
i truly looked then
and found ....found
all here were quite as madd as me

A question for everyone......What is the title of a DVD or Video that is sure to bring tears to even the hardest of hearts? I'm looking for something that slices to the core of your heart and wrings it good for all its worth. Does such a film exist? I remember some really older ones that did just that. 'Brian's Song' comes to mind...

Terry -- I might be a tad biased, but the movie 'The Piano' does it for me every time.... it stars Holly Hunter, Anna Paquin, Sam Neil and Harvey Kaitel, the music from the movie is stunning as is the setting (its set on the West Coast of NZ in the 1800's) ..... I'm the metal hearted one that never cries at the movies and I do admit to having a tear on my cheek at the end of this one..... and the theme music would be perfect for a romantic interlude.

hehe -- Terry looks like we are the only folk about today -- Anna Paquin won and oscar for best supporting actress, she was 9 at the time, which is pretty impressive there is a pretty good site about the movie at: http://www.fys.uio.no/~magnushj/Piano/ I'm sure you'd adore the sound track.
