walking deep in the forest
trying to lose my way
i came upon a small village
quite madd in its way
reigned over by a queen
Queen Gala by name
all these villagers spoke ....music?
and practised .....bump?
a very lovely place
were everyone chose to wear
their heart in the open
not hidden as everywhere else
i stopped for a time
to find something to eat, drink
before fleeing on my way
and found to my delight
i was trapped here by me
then more amazing yet
was the music i learned to speak
once i tried to crawl away
till Queen Gala came
with villagers to fore
and the songs she spoke
quite melted my day
i truly looked then
and found ....found
all here were quite as madd as me
cool

thank u for this village kirk that u built AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY GALA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, I go bed and arise to find that erotica goddess has written the ending in raw sexual terms, while guppy has outclassed the whole concept and written the ending in raw emotional terms. Brave to everyone...

And may I add to the chorus:
Have a wonderful Birthday Gala, may the day be as special as you!
you know, the flow of this site is really cool...you guys and girls all deserve credit for carrying interesting conversations through poetry...the whole bump thing illustrates that...it's fun and refreshing to see everybody feeding off of and embellishing each other's ideas...everybody shines in different ways...good teachers tell you that when you're young...good students learn that over and over again each day of their lives

Madi 'small boats on Travis' and 'fiery cove in blue water' ... I imagined a place just like NZ .... in fact they sound like they where written by New Zealand authors.... stunning.

John 'one cool night' -- lovely.

Gala 'with regards to warmth' ........ wonderful!!... it seemed that it radiated warmth from its core...

Terry 'Dancing naked in the rain' ... as I said via email it was so powerful that I felt it had to be real, and hoped that it was not -- and 'like honey and aloe' ..... ohhhhh I want a voice like that -- not likely with my kiwi accent! hehehe..... hope my bump did not offend.
A question for everyone......What is the title of a DVD or Video that is sure to bring tears to even the hardest of hearts? I'm looking for something that slices to the core of your heart and wrings it good for all its worth. Does such a film exist? I remember some really older ones that did just that. 'Brian's Song' comes to mind...
Terry -- I might be a tad biased, but the movie 'The Piano' does it for me every time.... it stars Holly Hunter, Anna Paquin, Sam Neil and Harvey Kaitel, the music from the movie is stunning as is the setting (its set on the West Coast of NZ in the 1800's) ..... I'm the metal hearted one that never cries at the movies and I do admit to having a tear on my cheek at the end of this one..... and the theme music would be perfect for a romantic interlude.
hehe -- Terry looks like we are the only folk about today -- Anna Paquin won and oscar for best supporting actress, she was 9 at the time, which is pretty impressive there is a pretty good site about the movie at: http://www.fys.uio.no/~magnushj/Piano/ I'm sure you'd adore the sound track.
