Terry: I like the old ones like 'Casablanca' and 'From Here To Eternity'. Then there is 'Now Voyager' with Bette Davis, thats an old tear jerker. Then of course there is 'An Affair to Remember' Old Carey Grant and Deborah Kerr. I love 'Breakfast at Tiffanys'. The only ones that have really gotten to me lately are 'The English Patient' that drove me crazy and 'Cider House Rules' which I cried buckets watching. Here's a good site to check out more! http://www.afionline.org/100movies/

deevaa: I loved the Piano as well. Wonderful movie. I love film just as much as I do art and music I guess.

it doesnt matter~ & BK~ thanks for the suggestions. Some of your suggestions are old favorites. But like The Piano I missed Now Voyager, and Cider House Rules....thank you muchly...

And I agree, film and theatre are as much 'art' in my opinion as painting and poetry and I love it all...
Truman Capote wrote 'Tiffanys'. He actually hated Audrey
being in it at first but grew to love her just as we do.
First of all: How disappointed am I that I missed all the bumpin' and grindin' that took place this weekend?
Woooooey my 'puter screen is all steamed up with y'all's letters and such. *grin* Not for the kiddies.

Secondly- but more important- A muchly belated bday to Gala. My Fairy Godmother who doesn't speak to me much anymore *sniff sniff*

And to Gup- Yup. Me and my thousand Internet personas. No one can pin me down. *grin* I like to keep it that way as much as possible...but in your case I will make an exception. Megangel25@yahoo.com. I'll try ESP too and see which way gets a better email. Ready to receive thoughts? *grin*

On Movies- and another note up to Guppy: I wish I was Audrey...she is just THE woman. And American Beauty was just about the best movie I have seen in quite awhile. Watch Magnolia last night. It set up such great expectations but the end fell short. Has anyone else seen this?
Hi all
I just wanted to thank everyone who read and commented on my poems. I am so honored that my first time putting my work here got the front page ("I'm Tired") -thank you. I really do feel free now to submit more of my poems and wanted to also comment on how very much I enjoyed everyone else's front pics. I am now going to read the large amounts of great poetry that was submitted-can't wait! Thank you also to the people whom commented on "Wrapped in Light"-it was one of my firsts and favorites. Once again I feel welcomed and can't wait to pour my heart out more!!

Oh guys----------

I leave for two stinking days and you guys go nuts? Wow---------the volume of work is awesome---will have to digest before I comment.....

But you are all dear to me---and thank you so much. I was getting that "now that the party's over" kind of hang dog mood and found 27 emails...10 phone messages...and assorted snail mail and packages waiting for me. Then I go into comments---and it starts all over again!

1. Thank you one and all....this lady is touched beyond words by your kindness.

2. Elected office? Yikes.......No, been there, done that, counting the days till my term expires...
and I'm not a queen darn it.....just sort of a self appointed elven emissary.......

3. Thanks again guys........

I am flustered, and flattered....and can never thank you enough......

Love Gala

Hey Everyone!

Just a couple of quick comments.....I don't have that much time.

**Wade Morris** "Timelessness" was beautiful!! I absolutely adore it. I know what is feels like because I just lost my true love and most of the time I sit around and wonder if he ever realizes how much I love him.

**Elizabeth** "My First Night With You" is great. It explains everything.

**Sarah** "Wishing" is what I do all the time. You made drift back to when I was wishing and NOW I'm wishing again.
