deevaa: "caution could, but rarely ever helps..." (fiona apple) and aren't we all moody? shouldn't they expect that by now?

slug -- you are most likely right.... ha, it would be good if my spelling wasn't as moody.... (blush) I'm sure I SHOULD correct that mistake....... but don't think the work warrents the fuss.
dee - i noticed no bad spelling...but it could just be my own bad spelling making itself apparent. i blame it on the conservation of energy. who needs to spell when such great poetry is being written?

I figure maybe if I write a little more on the Board my muse will come back from her trip overseas (unless, of course, she met and married some Italian gentleman)... I have been hanging out in the back of the classroom for a while (I know that there is a core of readers who silently read what is shared here - and this place is for you often even more than it is for those of us who are not so silent). But then I am sure that there are people who are happy I have been quiet, and that's okay too...
Actually, I did want to acknowledge that what little I HAVE written lately has been inspired by the words of my fellow word-lovers. Thank you all...
I DO still read everything that is posted and submitted. I even have a few comments to make (imagine that!). Some of the poems I am about to mention are over a week old (which seems ancient in our hyper-modern corner of the larger culture), so please bear with me.

Janet Lopez-
embedded within your "Emotions of Love" is a truth not everyone understands - that is the act of loving in itself involves a yielding. "…if I only let…" is always a big if that requires resolution.
sarah-
I was enchanted by the mood and the lyrical quality of "where the angels are," but the line "an inbetween shaped blackhole in the universe" was both breathtaking and inspiring. The benchmark of great writing (as Kirk has mentioned) is whether you wish you'd written something yourself. That I did…
B.K.-
The plaintiveness of "The Hole" gave me heartache too… I could almost "hear your cry / all over the world." Very nice.
Deevaa-
I always find it hard to resist images of Daisy Buchanan (and the "voice that was full of money") at the thought of ANY daisy… And yet, you accomplished that. Again, the plaintive voice spoke to me. The "afterglow" of those who've crashed and burned struck a chord…

And Gala…
Where to begin? Your work of late has knocked me off my feet again and again.
"Imagine My Joy" touched me to the core… I only dream of being written of like that, much less longed for with such fervor. The tenderness of this work was irresistible…
The message of "Night Terrors, Explained" was not lost on me. I understand exactly what you meant about the power of loving and being loved…
"Love Letter" brought dozens of memories rushing back… Oh to feel that innocent giddiness again - as often as possible! I found myself "just about bursting with the wonder of it." Thanks for the feeling…
And "An Autumn Moment" left me breathless. More memories flooding back, overflowing the banks… I have always found the autumn to be the most romantic time of year, and the sensuality of your imagery is stunning. I could hear the crackle of the fallen leaves … and smell the moist, um, air. Also, the visual texture of the "echoing" of the hunger in the lovers' eyes in the "sweet call" of the poet's voice framed the poem rather nicely. I adored this work…
