It is not difficult to discover too many similarities between various posters/poets/poseurs if you pay a little closer attention. Even though some of us are entertained by it all (except maybe some of the poorer poetry), it does get old after a while, begging the question - why the games?

You showed great insite on the matter of love. You certainly made me think... and made some confusing thoughts very clear. I believe you have a lot of common sense. Thanks for sharing your logical comments.
Your work "Dawning Hope" was absolutely beautiful. You wrote so eloquently in this piece. I could see the mist rising off the water, I could hear the plaintif cry of the bird, I could feel the emptiness of the moment. I have read other pieces that you wrote and you show great feeling in everything you write. Your phrases stir the soul.
gardenguru: I don't like mind games close to home but here in the blender it's fun. There are some people who could never fool you and others that have such a rich imagination that they can take on other voices which I think is quite cool. There are sites that prohibit this by making you sign in under one name and dare you otherwise (you get banned forever,,lol) Kirk gives us freedoms here that other places would go nuts with, thanks to his wide view of life..Thanks Kirk

Terry: Darlin, You have no idea how much I have missed your voice here. 'Theres No Place Like Home' was wonderful. More please..(heavy sigh)

Chris: I see Patti Page or Dorris Day singing 'Secret Love' way before Freddie...lol and probably even someone before that..its an old song. Neat to see a timeless song like that again.
Another good thing to say to a woman: "Are u cold? Are you u cold? ...Now that you've escaped from Hell?" :)

BK I'm sorry you think I'm getting obsessive. My sense of humor sometimes resembles the Sahara (uh...dry). The object of my affection knows I'm kidding (I think) and that's all that matters. What I write is somewhere between deadly serious and tongue-in-cheek. You figure out where. I give readers a challenge, should they choose to take it...LOL.

I've read through a lot of poems here and I've seen some real talent in some people who can express themselves. However, where are some of these ideas for poems coming from? Telling us about your adulterous affairs, and having pride in such things. Where is the shame? I've heard your definition of the word "love" and I don't see it. When does true love hurt? For isn't the opposite act of love that hurts you? Yet the cliche that love hurts still burns in minds. So I pose the question do you know what love is? Love is an action... and though I hear the word love through these writings I ask.. what action proves there is love in these situations? I haven't read every single poem in here, but the ones I have... there is no sign of love in them. Please find a real definition of love and write on it.. for it burdens my soul to hear the four letter word taken out of context through acts of immorality and lust. Here's the best def. I could find...1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 read it in the bible sometime... it shows exactly what love should be.

I haven't read every single scripture in the Bible, but I've noticed that slavery was sanctioned and carefully regulated by many passages. Yet I do not judge the entire work as needing revision.

There are talents, indeed, in this collection of humanity called the Love Blender, many wonderfully real in their expressions from the heart and soul. Yes, some are pained, some are confused. But all are human. And most (probably not I) write of true love as well as the finest poets from the times before Christ to the current day. I believe that.

Read many more of the poems within. It will do your own heart good.

Harem--you're simply awesome

and to the one who said that true love doesn't hurt...you're absolutely right...the passage in Corinthians
is one of my favorites...the only time love hurts, is when the time comes for it to leave you...and even then, time helps to heal the wounds...but, yes indeed, love-even true love-can sometimes hurt...

oh yes, I think everyone submitting poetry and prose in this big blender have some beautiful talents!!!!!!!
