HaremGirl, thank you. I wasn't sure exactly where I was going with that and even though it didn't feel finished-I posted it anyway.
I just read "Stuck in Reverse". I loved it. You hit the nail on the head with your phrase "mind torture". That's just what it is...some self-inflicted punishment. Why do our minds keep drifting back to things that are painful-even after we've moved on and are in happier situations.
