By Chasing a love lost to someone else

lost
Lord, what is this love, this passion for her? Is it
a feeling, engraved so deep in my heart and soul that
distant stars in the night sky seem to sparkle
brighter and brighter with every thought of her?
Is it the tranquil sounds of the ocean, becoming a
symphony, raging to a crescendo some sleepless night?
Is this love? The very thought of her, her touch,
her silken soft skin, the beautiful essence and
intoxicating aroma of her body and her passion? Is
this what overcomes me? Is this my love, my passion
for her?
What passion a foolish man can feel! Like the song,
"Fools rush in, where Wisemen never go, but Wisemen
never fall in love, so how are they to know?" To
love without promise or regret? A love and passion
that yearns to feel the very breath that passes her
lips? To truly love someone enough, that their
happiness, their life is above all else? Can one
understand this kind of love, this kind of passion?
Can one be truly complete without this knowledge? Or
does one go on without feeling or expressing this
kind of love, this kind of passion, believing,
hoping?
A man would be wise to learn, a fool to regret, and
forever a "King of Hearts" to embrace his feelings,
to share his soul, his innermost secrets with his one
true love. Life is mysterious, and love, soooo
difficult to understand.
