the dawn
I was in a darkness. Neverending shadows near,
I couldn't see the sunshine for the rain,
I was trapped within a cage that was wrapped around my soul,
But eventually the light. It came,
There was a lack of warmth, no kind of love,
A blindfold on my heart,
I lay waiting in the starless night
For the healing time to start
Slowly though, the sun came up,
It brightened up my world,
The birds sand the sweetest melodies,
The flowers all unfurled.
The water cleared, colours grew strong,
The blood pumped through my veins,
And right then was the moment,
That I knew my life had changed.
you....
my light
my dawn
my sun
