midsummer love
i'm lying here all alone watching the time drag by
i'm hugging you forever sying goodbye
it's our last night together;this i dont yet know
as our bodies roll lazily smoothing the snow
now i recall the events that caused me so often to cry
i wish i would have known it was my last chance to say goodbye
now the air is cold and free and between us this forever broken bond
will you leave me so coldly before the nights gone?
the last hours approaching; the sun is rising high
i always sayed i'd kill for you; but instead for you i died
and now the snow is starting to melt and with it this hate-felt spite
i only realize now that i'd be saying goodbye tonight
and as my pen runs out of ink and my mind runs out of ryme
i see you,
walk away,
and turn back to look
once
for the last time
