Above the Library
Tonight I am no longer afraid of heights.
I sit indignantly staring at the city lights.
A lone guitar player playing a song
Of a childhood gone wrong.
The wind rakes through my hair
Like devilish pixies without a care.
It cools me and clears my mind.
I leave the library roof behind.
From a tree I steal a flower
Intending to bring it to your bower
But realizing that you are not there
I take it for myself and you are unaware
That I thought of you.
