Adam Green is one of the funniest and most cynical artists I have ever
encountered. His world of abstract, angular people is a paranoid,
psychotic, grim place, but funnier than heck. His take on relationships (about 1/3 of the cartoons) in "What Were You in a Previous Life" is one of impending doom and unrequited obsession. In other words, pretty true to life. (I'm kidding. Sort of.) I think this cartoon sums up the start of a lot of romances pretty nicely: |
