how about a survey or something to fill out .. i know i'd
like to see say, the average age and stuff of the "typical"
blender reader / contributor
Interesting idea. Do other people think it's worth putting together?

What an excellent collection.

Your story of the cafe at night was great. I wonder how many
other people have had the similar experience of allowing someone
you love slip away. As for me I will never societies rules
dissuade from the one I love.
It wasn't less about society's rules and more about
the troubles with geography and the passing of time

Dear Rita,
Thank you so much for your kind comment about my work!
I have to interject at this point that I loved "casual
cruelty;" I think you really hit a truth about girldom.
I haven't published a book - in fact I haven't published
anywhere on paper, though I'd like to - if you could
reccomend any magazines where you think I might have a
chance I'd appriciate that. I don't think I've written
enough to fill up a book - I just tend to write whenever
I can't help it. At any rate - you can email me if you'd
like.
Thank you again - it means a lot to me

Kirk,
I just browsed your site for the first time and I just
wanted to let you know that I was impressed.
It would be cool if you featured love letters written
by famous lovers like Sid and Nancy, Kurt and Courtney,
Larry and Althea, etc. Just a suggestion.
Intrigued...
M.V. Rainwater
I guess 'famous lovers' will mean something new as each
generation comes into its own. Ruby in the Dust was kind enough to provide a
small piece from Sid Vicious to Nancy, in this month's heart-on-sleeve
corner.

hey guys.....
be smart. Post your work on submissions page not comments.
Sorry Kirk....just rubbing me the wrong way today.....
I kind of know the feeling. Shucks, I thought the super cool
red font would make it easier to tell
what should go where-- ah well. I clean up the misplaced works
when I get the chance.

I would love to see some of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's
work, especially some of her love poems from her
compilation, Sonnets From The Portuguese. ("the Portuguese"
is a pet name given to her by Robert Browning, her husband.)
One work, a favorite of mine and I'm sure a favorite of
others, "How do I love Thee," would be a great addition to
the site. If you'd like the addy to get the text, please
do let me know! ;)

That's a good suggestion, I'll look for it.

I was really touched by the poem "Another Day" by Steve
Cleveland. It expressed in simple words the complex longing
of the heart.

I had a wonderful time visiting you site. It has touched me
very unlike me. I have always thought of love as a yucky stuff
I guess I was wrong. I love it here!
don't worry, love has its yucky moments. Or maybe, worry. But not too much

I was very impressed by the Kirk Rambles Regarding Romance
piece.
I am a 62 yo gay man living in S.Florida and just ended a
second relationship of 14 years (alcohol and smoking) were
the finally kicker that did it for me.
I am struggling to find if I want another monogomous love
relationship or a new relationship whose trust allows love
and sex with others.
I would be interested in comments from others.
Tom Robbins writes that making love stay is easy, it's lust that's hard
to keep around.

Blender of Love was an amusing thing to wonder into
of a random evening's browseing. It's nice to be reminded
that love is one of those things that really is worth
making an effort for when you've been lonely a while. It's
nice to think that when it happens it will be worthwhile.
Sometimes you can forget how it felt the last time it
happened, but the bottom line is, love is pretty cool.
I may have a go a writing something for you if I can figure
out how to switch off my auto-cynicism impulses for a while.
Meanwhile, would you mind awfully if I gratuitously advertised
my slightly twisted website at
http://members.aol.com/worldofnic ?
What's a gratuitous web plug among friends. I even turned your
comment into a link for easy viewing.

Thank you mals... Though receiving praise is something I'm
not quite prepared for when it comes to poetry I write. ;)
There really isn't a book or site full other z poetry.
You're looking at the only place that's home to my poems,
starting with "close" in the July/August issue, with other
pieces in the various Heart on Sleeve Corners. I post
so I can shower a certain someone, j, with my love for him.
His work is also here. These are some of our love notes to
each other...
This site is one of my favorites; I love reading expressions
of the heart. Again, thank you. You've made my heart smile.
