Season's End... The Indigo Girls sang "I could go crazy on a night like tonight/ When summer's begining to give up her fight" and sometimes I know just what they mean-- The Blender of Love Journal has survived its first summer and is bracing itself for the onslaught of fall into winter... This month brings a new feature to the Blender: the Blend-O-Matic, a dispenser of tiny pieces of romantic prose and poetry. (A one- at- a- time selection from a collection of well over 100.) "A poem written while sitting alone in an empty cafe" -- the first two stanzas have much grace. Lovesick By Rita Randazzo, Vermont poet. A short poem that balances on its last few lines. Guilt By Jessica Papke jetson@tir.com. a piece written in the dark, another one that depends on its strong ending. Broadcasting By Carlos (carlos.a.rubinstein@mci.com). described as "Jazz-like", a piece with a strange mysticism and strong sensuality. A Glimpse By z. A powerful metaphor. Heart on Sleeve Corner All the remaining heartsongs sent to the Blender last month.
