"Love isn't something you can wrap in chains and throw in a lake.
That's Houdini. Love is liking someone a lot." --Jack Handey
Blender of Love Digest April 1998

Home Sweet Home

Finally, the Blender of Love has its permanent home on the Internet. No longer a page off of www.eecs.tufts.edu/~kisrael, not even a subset of Alien Bill, the Love Blender has taken on its own domain, LoveBlender.Com,. I hope this hasn't caused too much confusion-- I know transient pages can be one of the most frustrating aspects of the 'Web-- but I've done my best to make it as painless a transition as possible.

And I'm happy to be maintaining this site's tradition of indecisiveness about whether it's more properly the "Blender of Love" or the "Love Blender"-- the world may never know for certain.

Another content filled digest this month, with some absolutely fantastic poetry, as well as a Review that reveals a possible inspiration for the site's name...

...And check out the first ever Blender of Love Reader Survey-- 26 quick questions to a better site!

New Works
a piece of that hue - Misti Velvet Rainwater.
An amazingly alive piece, as if she had eaten a box of crayolas and then fell in love.
the gateway, the tunnel, the path (his words)
- J.S..
Another very alive work. Too few poems capture the frantic energy romances often carry...
Tears of lunacy - kate.
...And sometimes that energy extends when a romance is having problems.
Why Am I Happier With My Tongue In My Own Mouth?
- Raja Doake (meese42@mailcity.com).
All Raja Doake needs is some confidence in this work-- it describes a contradiction I've felt before.
Salsa Nights - CharlesAlbano@webtv.net.
Short and Spicy.
Star Struck - Azura
Even with stars in your eyes, sometimes you need the lightyears to remain.
Tiptoes - kate.
An experiment that works, adding insight into a slice-of-life.
What is a chance meeting? - saffire2000@yahoo.com.
A solid prose piece.
How will she be? - Tony K (tny@ix.netcom.com)
The dual nature of 'her' in this work rang true to me.
