Lost In Cowboy Blue

Lost In Cowboy Blue

I see the moon up high
And hear the coyote howl of you.
Come lonesome feeling right over me,
To a heart alone, this cowboy is blue.
Without you
Lost in my cowboy blue.

A one night stand
And she has your damn smile
But I just can’t stand it all the same.
So I go back home and think for awhile.
This cowboy needs only you.
Lost in my cowboy blue.

I lace on my chaps each night in pain
Thinking I’ll go out and try my best to stay.
But I don’t get far without turning back
Cause you’re oh so far away
Paint this cowboy deep deep blue, cause I'm lost,
Lost in my cowboy blue.

I pray each night my love is true
But the doubts come in a flood of dreams.
And my God above won’t answer my prayers,
Which is an answer in itself it seems.
And what it means is more cowboy blues,
Lost in my cowboy blue.

Oh, this cowboy needs to look in your eyes
To see his answer and believe it true.
So until I can, I’ll stumble thru life as required
And be lost in these cowboy blues,
Lost in my cowboy blue.

I’m so lost in these cowboy blues.
Yes, lost in my cowboy blue.
Deep down lonely low down tear spillin' cowboy blue.
