Daydream of a Foolish Heart

I have this problem you see
Caused by my heart
And You
Especially you (especially you).

It involves concentration
Of the most minute things
Like paying the bills
And writing necessary correspondence.

But now, I simply drift
My mind two thousand miles away
Wondering what you are doing
How you feel (Are you happy)?

And without even trying
I find you in my daydreams
Dancing in the wind
And playing in the rain (with me).

Your beguiling smile an attraction
While your soft lips present the main course
That I may nibble
And sample anon (at my own pace).

And for dessert I need only drift south
Along the pale, succulent curve of your neck
Which leads on…
To a powdery soft, kissable shoulder (that tastes of spiced apple and rose).

Wake me from this reverie
When you arrive
For until then, I am content to wander
Within the daydreams of a foolish heart (in love with you).
