Detachment

Rivers flow and the wind blows,
and these move inconsiderately.
One may build a dam or a wall,
and confine oneself to the laity.

But to know the water or the wind
one must not be a hindrance.
Forcible change does not equate
with a created state of bliss.

For erudition means utter acceptance,
to follow the path of reality.
So let her flow on and love her as such
be devoid to gain totality.

Detached love is unconditional
as water and wind must be.
Let flow that person in her own direction
and her tide will set you free.
