The Country Fair

Paint me a picture
With sounds
And sights
Touches of people passing by
Painted flesh and happy babies
Music
Good food, great drink
Better friends
Dancing
Singing
Running barefoot through the woods
Stopping for the sprinklers
Lust and love.

Paint me a picture
Without inhibitions
Or criticisms
Fitting in
Articles of clothing
Lost one by one
Dreams become reality
While reality becomes a figment
Of an overactive imagination.

Paint me a picture
Where I am a goddess
And no one will argue
Trees and sun and
Nature all absorbed into me.

Paint me a picture
And call it the Country Fair.
