Love's ghost

You are always there,lingering at the edge
Of my concious thoughts and dominating my dreams.
I know somewhere you are lying there
Sharing my every memory, my every thought.

We held true magick in our embrace,
A love strong enough to span all lifetimes.
But is it strong enough to overcome us
With our pride and preconceived notions?

It seems the further I run from you
The more taut the chains around my heart become.
Perhaps if I ran further the links would finally be broken -
No - surely it is my heart that would give.

I used to enjoy the sunset and long walks
But they give me pleasure no more.
The ghost of us haunts me day and night
Sending shivers down my spine everytime its entity embraces me.

In my heart I know we'll be together
I just don't know when.
But someday we'll be dancing in the moonlight
And making love in the rain.

I know because my heart tells me so
And the heart never lies....
