one without words
a melody barely heard
over the rushing of 
two hearts against each other.

i知 looking for a book
one with no beginning
one with no end
just the middle
that痴 the easiest
part to read.

i知 looking for a flower
one with no thorns
no allergic reaction
one that can withstand
my pulling its petals
to find a love truer than true

i知 looking for a soul
one to outlast time
one to take me as I am
it must let me try to fly
and catch me when I fall

i知 looking for a man
one to carry me when I tire
chase me when I run
kiss me when I cry
nurse me when I知 sick
yell when I yell
laugh when I laugh
dance with me in the rain
catch my falling star
hold me when I sleep.

that will make me forget
the list of things I知 looking for
and help me love again.
