Madly Mistaken

I wish you weren't mistaken
       but I'm afraid you are my dear
Words of hate and anger
       are not exactly what you hear

It must be from your point of view
       that I seem angry or filled with pain
But their actually words of jealousy
       wondering why you made it all in vain

I can't believe you think I hate you
       after all that us two have done
If you thought this was some contest
       then baby,,hey, you won

Those feelings of hate you were talking about
       no see you got it all wrong
You spit me up and threw me out
       and what did I do wrong?

I stayed their through it all
       didn't care what people said
But here I lay, cut WIDE open
       like butter on top of your bread

Yes, I'm in love with someone else
       she's unlike anything I've ever seen
So if you think that I'm gonna hate you
       then just wake up from your dream

Those jealous words, that hang me inside
       aren't what you'd quite think
Their jealous because you took my love
       and ended up woozy from a drink

You threw it all away
       promises made in the dark
So no,  I'm not mad at you
       I'm completely torn apart.

I'm so in love right now it may be blinding my sight
but look, I don't hate you and I think moving on is a need to for you.
I'm not mad at you, I'm mad because all this time, you've had those feelings
..you've held them in
and never told me
why not? I wanted to be there for everything,,it was a shock that's all
I hope you can understand that. So let's move on and get all this crap over
with because we can't go on like this. I'll go  my way if you want, and I'll let
you be, because it seems like you don't wanna be here, or at least, around me.
