Heart Mosaic

Heart Mosaic

When I looked around at my life
And studied the moment with heart, not mind,
I was staggered at the bareness; loneliness reigned.

Things were peculiarly absent, things of the heart,
And those of the spirit,
A shade across my soul, I was lost and didn’t even know.

Then you came along,
Your tender love painting a rainbow back into my life.

First you painted my heart azure,
As the soft morning clouds that drift by.
Calling it your trust, true blue.

Scarlet splashed across the beating organ next;
Your passion incarnate.
Teaching me the depth and breadth of your love; infinite and eternal.

Then gold was applied as the next color of your song.
Signifying the sanctity of time
Precious beyond measure held in your arms.

My spirit, my heart is a mosaic now.
A thing of consecrated beauty.
Reconstructed by you.

Because you came into my world,
Your tender love painting a rainbow back into my life.
