Lamplight
pale with longing i was
distant with cautions he stood
faded by dreams lost
and torn between chemistry and sense
trembling with fear i was
swirling with sensuality he stood
falling to my knees
and praying to distant unhearing gods
drowning in passion i was
swaying with emotion he stood
holding me precaiously upright
yet drowning me in his eyes
reeling with uncertainty i was
singing with fire he stood
suffocated from breathing in
but kissing eachother fiercely under lamplight
