ClAIR'S ROMANCE



        Clair's Romance

    From rejection
          Clair discovers
    feelings of yesterday
    Finding that which no longer
          feels right today:
    The red of hesitant rage
          endured by
    silent misgiving.
    No more living thus
    Feeling the want that
          cannot be theirs,
    But rather the want of others.
    In solitude she often shares
    Talking with lovers as they
          come and go
    Longing for understanding
          that has never
    been real.
    In solitude she shares
    Writing of life's most
          subtle seductions,
    The passion of reality--of
          self and acceptance.
