Not to be a Redneck
dragged along a path so known before
my family again tied me along into nature
trips as these turned me forever sore
I wish I wasn't so lonely on this venture
looking towards the positive side
this camping trip couldn't be too bad
having a friend joining the stride
the loneliness made me think of what I had
my younger sibling being as spazmic as he can
I had to press against him and his friend on the ride
theres only so much of my little brother people are able to withstand
he better be lucky it didn't take as long or he would of died
stopping at the lake's store for supply
I was surprized by something lovely to find
she bought ice-cream at the counter as I eyed
my shy instinct told me to hide
stepping over my inferiority complex
when she met my sight I smiled
at the counter I was next
she returned the happiness as I felt like a child
finally making our way to our site
I started to help my family set up camp
just then before day turned to night
my mind fell into mush being less resistant
she was so beautiful I couldn't explain
even when my friend asked me too
I just dazed out while I was called to be lame
of course I need never tell him who
while building the tent I saw her again
overwealmed with joy that she was my neighbor
I never wanted to let this vision end
but she walked off letting my eyes loose her
that evening at dinner with my family and relatives
I saw her gently interesting self washing her hands
she was welcomed into my mind with no invitation
stunned she moved her way towards me accross the sand
she came and sat down at my table so un-expectedly
my body felt numb in confusion on the situation
then I listened closely for a solution knwoing I acted so stupidly
the girl of my dreams was my own cousin!
