Reverie's Design

There is a place I visit
that you and I have shared
Alone in muse's calling,
I often find you there

I find you there in dreamlight
in golds and greens, subdued
My hands, your face, caressing,
Your warmth, my skin's renewed

The tender trance of breathing
so close, in touch and song
Our dreams have come awaking
No more need we prolong

You take me to your lap there,
your eyes glow candlefire
Our blood ignites with touching
Pulsing pounds us with desire

I face you in my longing,
and feel yours climbing high
The throbbing point of passion,
never more can we deny

And in the afterwhispers
when greens and golds decline

I ache to realize, my love,
'twas reverie's design
