The Sky and the Heavens
i adore you.
here i lie
on my roof
watching the stars
that do nothing for me now
but remind be of your beauty
of your eyes
and how they used to be mine
and i was comfortable knowing
they didnt see anyone else.
but now as i lie into morning
and i see the sun rise
i see your smile
gleaming with excitement
and warmth
to wake up and see me
and you put you arms around me
and tell me how pretty i was
and how dearly you loved me.
the clouds come out
creating images of moments we shared
times that only we shared
when only we laughed.
into the sunset
i watch you leave me
off to a new
but the time we had
was as beautiful
as the sky and heavens above
