sea of tranquility

i spent the night
with your words tickling
my ears
as we laughed over
our lives
and our mispronunciations
as children
mozzarella, not cindarella!
and we spoke of
running away to a cabin
on a lake where
it was only you and i
and the great outdoors
we dreamed in the night
and spun our tales as
golden webs for our
spider selves to climb
and catch our dreams with
i wanted to look into
those blue eyes and swim
away in your azure oceans
your sea of tranquility
as i rested upon
your arms as a long
awaited shore
