This Wall

One day, I thought this day would never come
that I would sit and stare at this wall, oh this mystifying wall
visions of you, your curves as graceful as fresh powder upon the mountain
so soft.... so fragile....
those visions skipping through my mind like a kindergarden
girl, with not a care in the world
to the onlooker, this wall looks to be the most interesting thing
I have ever laid my eyes on
to me, my body has turned off
to allow my heart to have every inch of my sensation devoted to you

oh this wall, I startle, remembering what I'm gazing upon
I decide to scrawl portraits of you in my imagination
upon this wall
~so every future passer-by can be taken by your beauty
 as I have...
~so every rose at it's base can bloom in admiration,
jealous of it's newest neighbor getting all the attention...
~so I can find another wall to be inthralled with,
until you return to my arms

oh, this wall...
