Making Waves

Found a pebble today
Beautiful
Soft and shiny

Thought about keeping it
Close to me
On a chain around my neck

Decided to throw it
Into the calm water
Cracking the mirror

Watched it sink
And regretted
But enjoyed seeing
it making waves
