Unforgotten Whispers



Ya know, it's funny sometimes the things I forget
they're usually things I say,
but I'll never regret those words I told to you
on that 10th of September day.

The band had just finished playing
I was pretending to watch the game,
Only deep inside I was reciting those words
words, which I would soon be saying.

Now a couple of months have passed
almost 4 to be exact,
I still remember the date and time when you got rid of me
and that's a fact.

Dreams and paths and routes untaken
are now just a thing of the past,
I guess you with me, me with you
it just wasn't meant to last.

There are so many things that I had to say
so many words left unspoken,
leaving us the friendship that we have now
rusted, tarnished, and broken.

I'm sorry if these words came off a little hollow
I guess it's o.k. with me,
they're just a few things that I never said
just some old whispers to your memory.
