A night in your Texas

Everything about the way we lose ourselves
somewhere between the timelines
on our hands, faces, creases on our lips
is exactly how we can be found again
yet somehow I am convinced
that the love of my life
just boarded a plane to Texas
we are so close to strangers
my name glaring absent on his
'things to do'
list
I am thinking of Brandon
Texas as an antedote to
fear and crying
perhaps the most
miserable time in my life
but the terrain read a love
that couldn't wait one more day
a sad love ending, begining
every second
Brandon, you couldn't understand me
none of me
the way you spoke in a numbing tounge
a slithering drawl
and noone wanted to explain
and I need to leave your house
that town
that gave me the chills
in my flipflops
holes in my heart
Brandon, your wings were bent
after an almost night of passion
in your world
