Four Letter Learn

3am evening treading on so slowly
a million and one thoughts on a evening so lonely
basking in a light…cold as thoughts dreaming on my shoulders
trying to resolve the questions nagging
trying to forget the possible obvious
it’s a mystery to such an evening lagging for endless time
would you know me
would really want to know me
if you only knew
what there really was to know…the truth
doesn’t it hurt…or feel wonderful
to the touch tasteless evenings like this
can’t a night occupy a feeling untouched?
one night…going on a hundred nights
turned my eternity…turned me around and I could see
but this black night shades your eyes…keeps you blind from my limelight
wouldn’t you like to puncture me…look around inside me
take from all the treasures hidden within a mystery you think you know so well
wouldn’t I like to reveal to you…but to hurt you, oh god how could I hurt a growing part in my world
no longer is my heart infant to this monster passion concealed
lest I taste a bitter sweet ending
would it be
could it be
what would it be
so long?
Can’t believe the whispering evils plaguing a once clear mind
Look to a brighter day
Wait for that day…recall faithful interactions, lover’s actions
Oh just a fraction of smiling memories I can see
So many to remember…grab hold of one, embrace it for all it’s worth
Squeeze every kiss and every laugh and every scent of him and you….happiness
Don’t let it fly from tighter arms, show it to your darker world
Let the nightly meetings tick away problems hope to be solved while I hold on to one single
Day in my life…night blinked away but never forgotten
No longer taken for granted
And he will learn…turn eyes to the sun and say…he will see
And say…you will learn
