Fraternity

Of everyone in the room
I zeroed in on you from the start.
Definate physical attraction
but ultimately, most importantly,
it was your mind that intrigued me
your heart I wanted to know.
Something in your eyes
deep and passionate beyond your years.
Yet something didn't fit
When things started to change,
you turned your head.
The connection I felt before
no longer existed in the pressence of
your "brothers".
God forbid you should speak up against them.
The one I thought was decent
looked the other way.
It seems acceptance is more important than doing what's right.
Frat boys are one and united
In the end it's all the same.
maybe I didn't have you figured out after all.
