dandelion blotted on your cheeks
i recall a picture from a very long time ago
you were smiling
letting the world know you are beautiful
how could i ever think differently?
i was that same child once
in boy form
playing with frogs and pollywogs
and slimey things
reaping all the sweet rewards that boyhood brings
i had it really good
the girls always liked me for my innocence
back then
harmless is one thing that i wish i would have always been...
