My First True Love

                        
I once was lost in a world of my own,
A world of lonliness,
I thought true love could be impossible,
I may have had someone but I did not feel in love,
And still felt lonely,
Even though they treated me bad I thought nothing of it,
I thought love was just having someone by your side,
I always thought I would feel lonely and confused,
I felt like everybody would be the same,
             
I was wrong,
I met you,
You changed my whole life around,
You made me feel like I was somebody,
Love wasn't just having somebody,
It is somebody you can talk to and trust,
Somebody who makes you feel good inside and doesn't let you down.

I realized that true love was like your best friend,
My whole life turned around,
I gained hope,
I felt good inside knowing that somebody really cares about me,
Believes in me,
And made me feel that I was needed,
That all changed because of you,
My first true love.
