Love is Silent

Comfort my love, for the night grows weary
And mine eyes burn for your warming embrace
Speak not careless words, lest the minutes quickly turn to a dawning end
Lips, believe not bitter sweet oaths, for the silence speaks loudly of love too true
Let affection come mute, covered by the shadowy colour of sweet eve
Welcomed feathery caresses brought forth by yearning hands take speed
And lift thee to love’s pursuit climaxed
Take in jest lover’s play, yet aside set passion to its wanting ways
When O night, two lovers meet, so above should they in mind keep
For when eyes and lips carry heart no more, obey a hushed invite into love’s grasp forever more
