Love Left A Mark

Untitled

Love Left A mark

Jagged peaks of Dover high;

Majestic mountains reach unto the sky.

My soul is climbing there with the grace of a mortal,

But it happened because love became my portal.

Transporting me here to such a wondrous sight,

With heart overflowing; soul ready for flight.

Love has just such power to lift a Son of God, child of man.

Because it is with that very same Love we must make our final stand.

Declare to the very lichen clinging to stone,

That we will give over our heart to another; forsake being alone.

And by the sanctity of that vow to the world full of wonder,

Open the door of heaven itself to you, my perfect lover.

The other part of my soul, missing so very long,

Causing such deep loneliness within; it was so hard to stay strong.

But faith prevailed by the plan of God above.

Sending me you, my one true love.

Rugged peaks of Dover high,

Sacred mountains lost in the mist.

My soul is at peace within your secret heart,

But remember it happened because love left its mark.
