junior mints

i must really miss you
must have reached the lonliest
of lonley places
driving in my car
eating junior mints
and all of the sudden,
i was kissing you again
smooth and sweet
minty yet warm
melting on my tongue
savoring each one,
as it passed between my parted lips
and i began to inhale them
(like oxygen)
needing more
unable to stop
and then they were gone
all that was left was a bit of chocolate
stuck to my lip
(it gets lonely in my car)
