No Exit
The clouds are coming
To wash my pain
But the hurt is too much
An open flame
No water can stop what this
Fire consumes
My heart, My mind, My being
Reduced to ruins.
Envelope me in darkness
Take all my air
Move over me, Push me
Then leave me without
My blackened heart
My troubled mind
My aching being
I need them no more
Bring them to someone
Who has what I've lost
A person who cares not
The price that love costs
Bring me the bricks
That stack strong and tall
And mortar to bury
My life in a wall
It's dark where I am now
I've been here before
I retrace the footsteps
I traveled before
A wall round my heart
A wall with no door.
