Fishing for Metaphors
So here we are - or
you there and me here
pulling down the sky
onto this book
and searching among
the specks of clouds
dotting the paper landscape.
Trees compressed -
no sign of a fishing pole
or a metaphor -
so I content myself
with a bit of scratching
and kiss the turning pages
of your eyes.
