A friend is someone who will listen to you, when you're down and out, lonesome and blue. A friend is someone who will come around, and laugh with you, tell a joke or two. And you're someone that I can call friend, you're someone with a hand to lend. Now a friend may be a woman, or a friend may be a man, or a child will do, they're always true. A friend will take your mind off the pain, you know it's true, this a friend will do. And you're someone that I can call friend, you're someone with a hand to lend. A friend may be aggressive, and point out to you, that you can't win, then a friend will bend. And you're someone that I can call friend, you're someone with a hand to lend. |
