A beta version, as any software engineer will tell you, Is ready for distribution to a subset of the intended audience Possibly it has one or two minor bugs here and there Requiring a few little tweaks to be perfect But it's relatively mature And usually performs as advertised An alpha version, on the other hand Should never be deliberately turned loose So immature that even the basics need serious work It may show a lot of promise But is, for all practical purposes, Useless, full of flaws, and utterly unreliable You said you were an alpha male.
