Wild Eyed Wonder

Grandmothers houses
Filled with treasures
Of the past
Pictures of the way we were
When wheels were square
Or ran on hot plastic tracks
As we went from room to room
Looking, oohing, and aahing
The us of yesteryear
Peering out
You suddenly say
I'm glad to see this look on mom's face grandma
I've kind of been worried lately
She's got this look
This wild eyed wonder
Like she's up to something
I blush listening in
Then hear my mothers reply.
She said, she's always had that look
But you're right, watch out,
When she gets that look
She's definitely up to something.
