Fire and Ice

take dainty sips
let them linger on your lips
you can taste me in my words
they are made of firebirds

savouring the wine
ice and fire intertwine
then shall I taste of you
coldly sweet yet bitter too

feel you with my tongue
your chill breath yet unsung
I can see it in your face
how delightful warm words taste

then with your words fill me
let your icy voice fulfill me
the scent of smoke beneath my kiss
my crackling fire: forbidden bliss

lay me back, penetrate
pleasure and pain celebrate
softest leather warm as sin
heated surrender drink my skin

you are flavored of december's freeze
I am smokey striving, aching for release
liquid hot magma from the core of me
hisses as it brands you my property

fiery passion wins wilder cries,
your words a blizzard and part of me dies...
taste me again, feel your words within
aching for the heat of my fire-warmed skin

but I melt you, and you freeze me,
elemental conflict, death and destiny
I struggle back against the cold
but I am tired, and hollow-coaled

a passionate harvest do you reap
soft drifts of words smother me to sleep
with the smell of you melting in my lungs
and the taste of wordwine on my tongue

neither the winner neither ranked
coals and snow both are banked
